I have not touched pencil to paper with the intent of drawing realistic portraits for months. Drawing now is not the best idea.
I am currently acquainting myself more intimately with loads and loads of scholarly journals and databases, including JSTOR, Online Wiley Library, Springerlink and ScienceDirect, on the subject of schizophrenia, amongst other things.
In other news, baby cephalopods are very cute. Here, have a baby blue-ringed octopus being disturbed by a brush. You can see the pigmented cells, chromatophores, expanding and contracting. Each chromatophore is an independent organ with its own nervous supply and muscles!
